My camera ready bachelor thesis.
I ended my thesis on 2008-05-05. The thesis has the title: “Integration und Evaluation von Verfahren zur Bestimmung wahrscheinlicher Ursachen des Scheiterns von Unit-Tests in Eclipse”. It is written in german. But there is a paper with the title “Towards Raising the Failure of Unit Tests to the Level of Compiler-Reported Errors” (in the book “Objects, Components, Models and Patterns” or for download only the paper as pdf) which was hold in July 2008 on the Tools Europe 2008 conference which is in english and contains some of the material from my thesis.

atop – What process creates high load
A easy commandline tool for finding processes that are creating a particular high load. I wanted to know what process creates the disk load. Start atop and press the key d and see the process that creates the high load. You see also the bytes written and read by the process. With the key shortcut CTRL+Cursor key you can see how high the data throughput is.

F-Spot plugin für www.digi-images.de
Nach mehreren Abenden lesen von RFCs, C# Dokumentationen und F-Spot Quellcode konnte ich mein F-Spot Export Plugin für die Foto Community Digi-Images fertigstellen. Da es für andere die F-Spot nutzen auch nützlich sein könnte veröffentliche ich es als Open Source Projekt. Der Quellcode und eine kompilierte Version werden auf launchpad.net gehostet.

Installation
Das Archiv mit den Binärdateien entpacken und die DLL-Datei in das F-Spot Plugin Verzeichnis kopieren. Nach einem F-Spot neustart steht der Export unter dem Menüpunkt Photo>Export To>digi-images… zur Verfügung.

The last burst of checkins has brought Tux3 to the pointer where it undeniably acts like a filesystem: one can write files, go away, come back later and read those files by name. We can see some of the hoped for attractiveness starting to emerge: Tux3 clearly does scale from the very small to the very big at the same time. We have our Exabyte file with 4K blocksize and we can also create 64 Petabyte files using 256 byte blocks. How cool is that? Not much chance for internal fragmentation with 256 byte blocks.
